The only good stump is a gone stump.
A leftover stump sends up sprouts, trips people, and takes up yard. We grind it to about 8 inches below the surface and tidy the spot. The chips stay on site as mulch. If you want them gone, we can haul them away for an extra charge.
We do homes and businesses, tight backyards included. More than one stump? Ask about the discount.
What we do

Common questions
How deep do you grind a stump?
About 8 inches below ground, so you can plant or lay sod over it. Surface roots can come out too. We will confirm the depth for your plans at the free estimate.
What happens to the wood chips?
We leave them on site as mulch. If you want them gone, we can haul them away for an extra charge.
Can you grind a stump in a tight backyard?
Usually yes. We have equipment for hard-to-reach spots. Send a photo of the access and we will say.
Is stump grinding included when you remove a tree?
It is a separate line. Ask for both and we will price tree removal and grinding together at the same free estimate.
Is there a discount for more than one stump?
Yes. We price it when we see how many there are.
Do I have to grind the stump, or can I leave it?
You can leave it. Just know stumps send up sprouts, attract pests and stay a trip hazard. Grinding gets rid of all of it.
